Welcome to Sonoran Rod Company — an active-duty-owned fishing rod business based in Bossier City, Louisiana. Every rod that leaves my shop is hand-built, with the same attention to detail and commitment to excellence that I carry through my years of military service.
My Story
My name is Andrew Grove. I am a prior-enlisted officer with over 12 years of service in the US Air Force. I started out in aircraft maintenance, where lives rested on the precision of my work. I was selected to attend the Air Force Academy's class of 2021, where I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Operations Research. I earned my Master's of Science in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2023, and have worked in the Air Force's nuclear enterprise since.
Fishing has always been more than a hobby to me — it's a way to connect with nature, clear your head, and feel something real in your hands. I wanted to build rods that felt that way too: purposeful, balanced, and built to last.

Every Sonoran rod comes with a 2-year warranty because I stand behind my work. If something goes wrong, I'll make it right. That's my word as a craftsman.
